The letter to the church at Thyatira, the fourth of the seven churches in Revelation, commends the believers for their growing love, faith, service, and perseverance. However, it also includes a strong warning against tolerating false teaching and moral compromise, symbolized by "Jezebel." Jesus, described as the Son of God with eyes like fire and feet like bronze, calls the church to repentance and faithfulness. A promise of authority and the "morning star" is given to those who overcome and remain obedient until the end.
